UC San Diego Natural Reserve System 30X30 Partnership Summit Field Trip

Join us for a 30X30 Partnership Summit Tour hosted by the UC San Diego Natural Reserve System!

The UC San Diego Natural Reserve System supports university-level teaching, research, and public service at protected natural areas. This tour will visit three of our four reserves: Elliott Chaparral Reserve, Scripps Coastal Reserve, and Kendall-Frost Marsh Reserve. We will share how these reserves protect biodiversity and promote education and research of these important ecosystems.

Important Safety Guidelines and Preparations for the Day of the Field Trip

Attire: Closed-toe shoes are required. It is recommended to wear long pants, long sleeves, and a sun hat, as this event will be held outdoors with little or no shade.

What to Bring:

• Water
• Packed lunch or snacks
• Sunscreen
• Sun hat
• Binoculars (optional)

Note that there are no bathroom or water facilities available at Scripps Coastal Reserve or Elliott Chaparral Reserve. However, we will provide filtered drinking water and a water bottle filling station at Kendall-Frost, which will also have restrooms. Kendall-Frost will serve as the starting and ending point for this tour.
