Medieval Festival at Serpentine Cider

Welcome to the Medieval Festival at Serpentine Cider & Smokehouse! Get ready to step back in time and enjoy a day filled with knights, maidens, and delicious libations.

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon featuring new and delicious cider flavors, special collaborations of mead and beer, turkey legs, ribs, and other feast food fit for a king (brisket smoked for 14 hours, anyone?)!

Enjoy battles, demonstrations and lessons from San Diego Sword School. Watch Lady Twist-A-Lot work her witchery with wool! Stroll through our Artist Alley and find yourself hand-made treasures to take home!

We will also be giving out prizes for the best costumes, so come dressed to impress the Court!

Tickets are $20/person, and include your first cider! Please arrive by 1pm to get your free drink ticket. For more info, see FAQs.

You will receive a pre-order link once you buy your ticket if you wish to order turkey legs and/or ribs, which will be smoked on-site in real-time in a gorgeous, flavorful smoker! These are the only pre-order items, for the rest just show up and enjoy!

Immerse yourself in the magic of the Middle Ages! This is an in-person event you won't want to miss!

Info: Check in for the event will be from noon-1pm. You must check in with Bree at the door to receive your free drink ticket. She will be checking people in until 1pm. After that, it is YOUR responsibility to track her down, check in with her, and get your free drink ticket. They will not be given out after the event.

Info: Blossfechten, or "bare fighting" in German, refers to the unarmored fighting style practiced in historical European martial arts (HEMA). It's characterized by the lack of significant protective armor, focusing on techniques like cutting, thrusting, and striking, often with longswords.

Info: A demonstration from the experts of fully-geared sparring at tournament speeds. They will also open the floor to those interested in putting on a helmet and sparring an instructor with foam weapons. Must sign a waiver!

Info: Come ye hither and behold the arcane arts of wool-spinning and fiber sorcery - ye may call it "preparation", but 'tis truly woolly witchcraft in motion! Dally not, let the spindle outpace thee!

Info: We will announce the winners of our costume contest, and award them prizes! The timing may vary slightly.
