Over the past six months, the San Antonio Museum of Art has partnered with the internationally acclaimed, Pritzker Prize-winning architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron to envision a transformative campus plan for the Museum’s thirteen-acre campus along the San Antonio River. Join us for a special evening with Ascan Mergenthaler, Senior Partner for an illuminating conversation about the firm’s global body of work and its renowned expertise in urban planning, historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and the creation of memorable and dynamic spaces for art.

The presentation will highlight signature projects such as Tate Modern in London, the Parrish Art Museum in Long Island, Pérez Art Museum in Miami, Tai Kwun and M+ in Hong Kong, and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. Mergenthaler will also share insights into the firm’s current endeavors, including master planning for Hamburg's Grasbrook district, the development of Calder Gardens in Philadelphia, and the adaptive reuse of the Park Avenue Armory in New York City as a center for visual and performing arts.
