About the book:
Ten-year-old Marilyn is tired of her little brother being the center of the universe. Sure, he is cute and all, but would it really be that hard to get a little attention from her parents? The opportunity for some one-on-one mom time comes in the form of a mysterious book, simply titled, "Open Me For Adventure." Upon opening the book, Marilyn and her mom, Lena, are pulled into the fantastical land of Dranlin, full of fairies, trolls, wizards, and more. Marilyn and Lena embark on a journey together to become Dranlin's first mother-daughter heroines. However, the quest may not be as straightforward as it seems.
