About the event

San Angelo's A Star Spangled Banner Concert & Fireworks
San Angelo's A Star-Spangled Banner Concert and Fireworks

San Angelo LIVE! presents "A Star-Spangled Banner Concert and Fireworks" on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Bill Aylor, Jr. Memorial RiverStage, 16 E. Avenue A, in downtown San Angelo. The festivities are part of the 5th annual event called A Star-Spangled Banner Concert and Fireworks hosted by Downtown San Angelo, Inc.

SAN ANGELO, TX - San Angelo LIVE! and Downtown San Angelo, Inc. are teaming up once again to present the 5th Annual "A Star-Spangled Banner Concert and Fireworks" on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the Bill Aylor Jr. Memorial RiverStage, 16 E. Avenue A in downtown San Angelo.

The centerpiece of the celebration is a rousing performance by the San Angelo Community Band, a local ensemble made up of area musicians. The concert will culminate in the dramatic finale of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, synchronized with a massive fireworks display and authentic cannon fire from Fort Concho's artillery stationed across the Concho River.

This year's fireworks show promises to be the biggest and best yet, engineered and choreographed by pyrotechnics expert Greg "Fly" Schatt, a familiar name from two decades of explosive shows at the San Angelo Rodeo. The fireworks will begin approximately 45 minutes after sunset, around 9:35 p.m., following a cannon blast from Fort Concho that signals the start of the 1812 Overture.

****Pre-Fireworks Entertainment: 12 Mile Takes the Stage

Before the sky lights up, VIP guests at tables and cabanas will enjoy a live performance by 12 Mile, a rising Texas Country band from San Angelo. Known for their charting hits "Sing Along" and "The Bottle," 12 Mile has shared the stage with Texas legends like Pat Green, Cory Morrow, and the Texas Tornados. Whether playing a quick one-hour set or an all-night four-hour show, their energetic style and engaging stage presence always deliver.

****Admission and VIP Options

General admission is free, and seating in the grass or bleacher areas is first-come, first-served starting when gates open at 12 noon.

For those seeking an elevated experience, VIP tables and private cabanas are available for purchase:
