Celebrate Irish culture and community at the second annual Marin Irish Festival, a weekend of music, dance, and family-friendly fun produced by Red Barn Productions—the team behind the Great Dickens Christmas Fair and the original Renaissance Pleasure Faires.
Enjoy nonstop live performances across six stages, including top Irish musicians such as The Black Brothers, The Black Irish Band, and award-winning Celtic fiddler and vocalist from Nova Scotia, Shannon Quinn.
New this year, a sanctioned Irish dance competition hosted in partnership with The Jackie Flynn Irish Dance Academy. Dancers of all ages will compete for the title of Champion of Champions. At the same time, festivalgoers can participate in open Céilí dance sessions, join in the dance to weave the Maypole in colorful ribbons, or participate in open Seisiúin—Irish music sessions for all skill levels.
The festival features over 30 artisan vendors, including the United Irish Cultural Center and their Keepers of the Steps exhibit, along with glass blowing, sheep shearing, and wool spinning demonstrations. Local food trucks and SF caterers will offer traditional favorites like corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, and specialty Irish treats. Across the lawn, visit the Bearded Goose Pub for authentic Guinness, Harp lager, and locally produced Gowan’s hard cider on tap.
Bring family, friends, and a blanket to sit lakeside or on the grassy Tor as you enjoy all-day music, dance, community, and connection—for one weekend only, May 3 and 4, at the Marin Center’s Lagoon Park in San Rafael.
