We carry the memory of those we lost, the strength of those who survived, and the responsibility to rebuild what was broken--with love, resilience, and cultural pride.
This year marks 50 years since the Cambodian Genocide, a tragedy that took the lives of over 2 million people and forever changed the fabric of our global Cambodian community. The Cambodian American Resource Agency (CARA) invite you to join us in a day of collective remembrance, healing, and cultural celebration.
🌿 At 2:30 PM, join us for a light reception with food for purchase, community resource tables, and opportunities to reconnect with one another.
🌿 At 4:00 PM, we begin a commemorative program and cultural showcase featuring master artists- some of whom performed together before the Khmer Rouge era and in refugee camps. Their return to the stage is a rare and emotional reunion.
🌿 We will also honor the unsung elders and first-generation survivors- cultural keepers who have served our community with quiet devotion for decades.
🎟️ Tickets are required to support event production and artists.
🎫 Discounted tickets are available for those with financial hardship- We want this space to be open and accessible for all.
This is more than an event- it is an act of remembrance, a call to healing, and a step toward rebuilding the future our ancestors dreamed for us.
Let us remember. Let us heal. Let us rebuild- TOGETHER
