KY BHA Pre-Dove Warmup Shotgun Skills with KY HOC

Come on out and join the Kentucky BHA Chapter and the KY Hunters of Color with a great event educating folks on the fun of shotgunning. This Pre Dove Warmup is an event for anyone experienced or not that is interested in wing shooting or shotgun sports.

The event will start at 9am with a safety talk and basic instruction on how to safely handle a shotgun. From there we will move into how to safely shoot airborne targets and safety aspects of dove hunting and shotgunning in general.

We will move on to the actual shooting portion of the event where participants will get to try their hand a shooting clay targets out the air. Volunteers will be available to help participants with techniques. After shooting we will talk more about dove hunting and places to hunt as well as hunting etiquette. We will finish with questions.

Participants are welcome to bring their own gun if they would like. They should also wear comfortable clothing as we will be outside planning for the weather is always a good idea. I would also encourage people to bring water or a beverage of choice it is usually very warm in late August.
