National Meadows Day at Cotehele Mill

Join the Cotehele team and Tamara Landscape Partnership for a fun-filled day exploring the meadow at Cotehele Mill!

Go meadow mad and join us for a day celebrating meadows, an essential and beautiful part of our ecosystem.

Join the Cotehele rangers, inspecting lifted turf samples from across the estate and taking a look a the machinery used to care for the meadows and harvest their precious seeds.

Seek out the Tamara Landscape Partnership who will be in the Morden stream next to the meadow. Bring your wellies, as they’ll be doing some kick sampling. Hopefully there will be plenty of interesting invertebrates you can help identify!

There will also be a meadow-wide scavenger hunt game you can join in with, and the chance to become a Nature Detective.

Before you head home, be sure to pick up your free wildflower seeds too.
