About the event

Salt Lake Obon Festival 2025
Join us as we celebrate the Salt Lake Buddhist Temple's 89th annual Obon Festival to honor and celebrate our ancestors!
- Food service starts at 3:00-7:00. Traditional Japanese dishes available for $5.00 - $15.00.
- Chapel Tours begin at 3:00p.m.
- Hawaiian Dancing and Taiko Drumming starts our festival entertainment at 7:00p.m. followed by beautiful traditional dancing to honor our loved ones who are no longer with us.

Admission is free! Come to the Obon Festival at 211 West 100 South on historic Japantown Street.

Dance practices are every Monday through Thursday starting June 30th 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the temple gymnasium.
