This workshop will be concentrated in how to create a glass work of art that creates depth and the illusion of the textile plaid. With using this 1mm glass rods and ribbons We will be using transparent and opal colors in the plate form. However, you can use this in any color variation that you want.
You will have a 4"x4" glass Plate. You will learn how to cut glass into stingers and rods, including the chemistry of glass, firing temperatures and how glass behaves under heat. This is a one day class with pick up of projects at a later date due to firing the glass in the kiln takes 50 hours total. This workshop is for beginners who have never worked with glass before.
Classes are on average 2-3 hours depending on the students interaction.
Small Class SIZE is limited to 12 students.

Class time is defined as a structured period that begins at a specified start time and concludes at an end time, allowing for a half-hour on completion period. This layaway time offers students a brief interval to complete their projects and prepare for their departure from the studio. However, if projects are not completed within the last half-hour grace of the designated end time, a fee of $35 will be incurred for each additional half-hour required. This policy ensures that students are encouraged to manage their time effectively while also maintaining the integrity of the class schedule.
