BugFest!

Flutter on up to BugFest — a BIG celebration of Utah’s tiniest residents happening the weekend of August 9 and 10.

NHMU will be buzzing with fun, giving bug lovers of all ages the opportunity to explore Utah’s incredible insects and the plants they pollinate. This year's festival will shine the spotlight on one of the bug world's apex predators: the praying mantis!

BugFest weekend festivities will include:
• Expert talks offering insight in the amazing world of insects.
• The crowd-favorite Bug Bar serving unique flavors to brave guests.
• Brand-new BugFest workshops, including butterfly mounting and jewelry making!
• Face painting and other family fun.
• A breathtaking entomology collections showcase.
• Access to the whole museum including our current special exhibition, Mysteries of the Ice Ages.
