The Future of Space Travel: The Fiction and Science of Propulsion

Warp drives, hyperdrives, and jump gates—are they just science fiction, or a glimpse of our future? From Star Wars to Star Trek, explore how sci-fi’s wildest space travel ideas stack up against real-world rocket science in this family-friendly adventure through the cosmos.

Thomas is currently working toward a degree in Atmospheric Science and is an active participant and Citizen Science Ambassador for SciStarter. Additional experiences include serving for 10 years as co-administrator for Jordan School District’s Mission to Mars project – a spaceflight simulation for 6th grade and as an Analog Astronaut at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) MDRS-238 Spaceward Bound mission.
