About the event

Stonehenge sunrise - Autumn Equinox - 18 miles
Join us for this Autumn Equinox Stonehenge sunrise wak.

Sunrise 06.53

We will start the walk at 05.45 a couple of miles away in Amesbury and walk to the Stones for sunrise. The Equinoxes and Solstices are the only times that the public are allowed access to the stones.

Tickets for this walk are £20. This payment is non-refundable. It will only be refunded in the event of a non-weather related cancellation. *Tickets/spaces for this walk/event are pre booked and pre paid, please don't just turn up on the day with cash*

This will be an 18 mile hike around beautiful countryside, pretty villages and ancient monuments.

Bring a head torch for the early part of the walk and plenty of layers, this is exposed and open countryside. Also bring food/water to sustain you for the whole walk.

The other highlight apart from Stonehenge on this walk is Old Sarum -

Old Sarum has been occupied since around 3000 BC, beginning as a Neolithic settlement.
It became an Iron Age hillfort around 400 BC, then was used by Romans, Saxons, and Normans.

Original Site of Salisbury.

The original city of Salisbury (then called Sarum) was based here.
It had a cathedral, royal palace, and castle all within the hillfort.
