Human Trafficking Awareness Event | Survivor Story
Join us for a powerful Human Trafficking Awareness event at Tom Smith Auditorium on the Campus of Catawba College on Saturday, January 31, at 10:00 AM.
This event will feature Deven Tucker, a survivor of human trafficking, who will share his personal story of exploitation, resilience, and hope. Deven’s experience sheds light on the often-misunderstood realities of human trafficking and how it impacts vulnerable youth and communities—closer to home than many realize.
Attendees will gain greater awareness of the warning signs of trafficking, hear firsthand how grooming and control occur, and learn why community education and restoration-focused support are critical in the fight against exploitation.
This event is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community.
Come see it. Hear it. Experience a story that can change the way you see human trafficking—and your role in preventing it.
