Salem Public Schools Student Art Installation
Celebrate the creativity and voices of Salem’s young artists at the annual Salem Public Schools Student Art Installation. This inspiring multiday pop-up exhibition showcases the incredible talents of K-12 students through a dynamic display of drawings, paintings, photography, poetry, dance, video art and more.
This meaningful initiative reflects the core values of belonging, equity and opportunity within Salem Public Schools. Through their art, students share their personal histories, explore cultural influences and express how they see themselves in the world today — while envisioning the future they hope to shape.

5:30 pm–8 pm
Students’ families and friends are invited to a private reception in East India Marine Hall to celebrate the Student Voice Project. In partnership with The Equity Imperative, students in grades 4–12 will present their research-based activism projects. Each school has identified a school or community challenge, conducted mixed method research around their topic and developed a set of action steps. This event highlights the students as storytellers, organizers and advocates, offering a platform for them to share student-driven solutions to address educational inequity. The reception will showcase the power of student voices in shaping a more equitable future.
