HopeDriven - alongside our title sponsor Yokohoma Tire of Salem - will be hosting our 5th-annual HeRow Expo on Saturday May 24th from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at the Yokohoma Tire Plant in Salem, VA.
HeRow Expo is a car, truck, and powersports show that is hosted annually in the honor of Rowan Price, the child that we sponsored during our first event in 2019 that passed away due to leukemia. Each year, the Price family selects the child/family that we will sponsor for this event, where all proceeds will be donated to the child/family to assist with all cost associated with a life threatening illness.
For this event, the Price family and HopeDriven have selected Landyn Burnette, a 2-year old local boy who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver and Lung Cancer (Hepatoblastoma) in December of 2024. Landyn is facing a future full of hurdles with this diagnosis and has been under treatment in Cincinnati since January. Landyn has already went through 3 rounds of chemo, which has shrank the tumor on his liver by 71%. Additionally, Landyn underwent successful surgery this week to remove the tumor on his liver, and will face surgeries on both of his lungs over the next 3 weeks.
To date, HopeDriven has been able to sponsor 4 children/families and has raised north of $26,000 since the start of our annual spring show, HeRow Expo.
For this event - ALL vehicle types are welcome and it is only a $10 minimum donation (per vehicle) to enter. ALL money raised from the entry fees, raffles, 50/50, and donations goes directly towards the fundraiser for the family we sponsor.
