EPC HYBRID COURSE: 16-hour course for BLS and ALS providers — EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as EPC providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit. This course combines 8 hours online learning modules completed prior to class, in-person skills and patient simulations.
EPC TEXTBOOK & COURSE MANUAL
The NAEMT requires participants to have the current 4th edition EPC Provider textbook & Course Manual. The EPC Course uses a specialized version of the Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals, 4th Ed as the reference text, bundled with a course manual. This course manual is an engaging resource that can continue to be consulted after the course to assist practitioners in providing the best care for their young patients. The books are sent to registrants with the textbook on a check-out basis and returned after class. If you want to keep the text, you may purchase it. The EPC Course Manual is for you to keep. Review of the text prior to class is key to getting maximum benefit and will be helpful with completing the pre-course study, preparing for the course scenarios and post-test.
