隼田大輔「有機する芸術」展 ー写真から木工、茶の湯、民藝までー

この度、里山の豊かな自然と多彩な手仕事が息づく埼玉県小川町にて、美術家・隼田大輔による個展「有機する芸術」を開催いたします。会場は築100年の石蔵を活用したコワーキングロビー・NESToになります。
隼田大輔は写真表現を軸としつつも、「古民藝はやた」の主宰として世界各地の民藝品を収集・紹介する活動や、江戸指物と呼ばれる伝統木工技術の探求、さらに茶の湯の実践など、さまざまな分野を横断して活動してきました。
本展では、それら一見異なる営みに通底する「有機的なつながり」と思想を浮かび上がらせ、隼田大輔の創造世界を多角的に紹介いたします。
また新作として、茶の湯の精神と現代の環境問題を繊細に融合させた映像作品《面影（ルビ：おもかげ）》を上映します（約5分、20日・21日のみ）。本作はNESToと地域の方々の全面的な協力のもと、小川町の山林を舞台に撮影されました。
開催地である小川町は、東京から電車で最短1時間という近さでありながら、都会の喧騒から離れた静謐な環境を保ち、日本有数の有機農業の里として知られています。また、ユネスコ無形文化遺産にも登録された細川紙をはじめ、伝統的な手すき和紙の産地としても国際的に評価されています。 表現と生活、場と人が交差するこの空間で、「有機する芸術」の在り方を感じていただけたら幸いです。

隼田大輔プロフィール
1981年兵庫県生まれ、横浜市立大学商学部卒業。
主な展示に「GOLDEN SHEEP」（のこぎり二／2022）、「TRANS ARTS TOKYO」（2015）、「NEW YEAR with GOOD PHOTOS Vol.2」（hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO／2014）、「いさなとり」（ギャラリー雅景錐／2012）、「うばたま」（長久手町文化の家／2011）、ほか多数。
2012年に写真集『うばたま』を出版。
受賞歴にSTEIDL BOOK AWARD JAPAN 入選（2016）、PDN EXPOSURE AWARD 入選（2016）、ALLOTMENT TRAVEL AWARD グランプリ（2010）など。2022年より小川町在住。

We are pleased to present "Art in Organic Form," a solo exhibition by artist Daisuke Hayata in Ogawamachi, Saitama Prefecture, a place where the rich nature of satoyama (rural mountain landscapes) and diverse traditional crafts thrive. The venue is NESTo, a coworking lobby converted from a 100-year-old stone storehouse.
While primarily focused on photographic expression, Hayata has crossed various disciplines—running "Old Mingei Hayata," which collects and introduces folk crafts from around the world; exploring traditional Edo joinery woodworking techniques; and practicing the art of tea ceremony. This exhibition reveals the "organic connections" and philosophy underlying these seemingly different practices, offering a multifaceted introduction to Hayata's creative world.
As a new work, we will screen the video piece "Vestige" that delicately fuses the spirit of the tea ceremony with contemporary environmental issues (approximately 5 minutes, June 20 and 21 only). This work was filmed in the forests of Ogawamachi with the full cooperation of NESTo and the local community.
Ogawamachi, the venue for this exhibition, is located just one hour by train from Tokyo, yet maintains a serene environment away from urban bustle. It is known as one of Japan's premier organic farming communities and is internationally recognized for its traditional handmade Japanese paper, including Hosokawa paper, which is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. We hope you will experience the nature of "Art in Organic Form" in this space where expression and life, place and people intersect.

Daisuke Hayata Profile
Born in 1981, graduated from Yokohama City University, Faculty of Commerce. Major exhibitions include "GOLDEN SHEEP" (Nokogiri 2/2022), "TRANS ARTS TOKYO" (2015), "NEW YEAR with GOOD PHOTOS Vol.2" (hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO/2014), "Isanatori" (Gallery Gakei Gimlet/2012), "Ubatama" (Nagakute Cultural Center/2011), and many others. Published the photo book "Ubatama" in 2012. Awards include STEIDL BOOK AWARD JAPAN Shortlist (2016), PDN EXPOSURE AWARD Shortlist (2016), and ALLOTMENT TRAVEL AWARD Grand Prix (2010). Residing in Ogawamachi since 2022.
