Be a part of local history and help plant our first mini forest!
🌱 What’s a Mini Forest?
We’ll be planting using the Miyawaki Method, a special technique that helps small patches of land grow into thriving, self-sustaining forests. By planting a wide variety of native trees and shrubs close together in rich, healthy soil, these mini forests grow quickly, develop layers of ground cover, shrubs, and tall trees, and become resilient ecosystems—all in spaces as small as a tennis court!
🌳 Why It’s Amazing:
▫️Fast Growing: Becomes a young forest in just 20–30 years.
Wildlife Friendly: Creates habitat for birds, insects, and other local creatures.
▫️Good for the Planet: Cleans the air, cools the city, and soaks up stormwater.
▫️Resilient: Stays strong through droughts, heat, and other challenges.
By joining us on planting day, you’re helping create a little green oasis that will benefit people, wildlife, and the environment for generations to come. 🌎💚
