 FLAG RETIREMENT CEREMONY
In partnership with American Legion Post 37 and the City of Saint Peter, we invite you to a solemn and meaningful Flag Retirement Ceremony — a tradition that honors the American flag as a symbol of our freedom, sacrifice, unity, and national pride.
 Saturday, June 14
 8:00 PM
 Gorman Park Patio Area
 Free | Public Welcome
When an American flag becomes worn, torn, or faded, it must be retired with dignity and respect. This ceremony ensures each flag is laid to rest with the honor it deserves, following proper flag etiquette.
The act of retiring a flag is more than a formality — it is a powerful gesture of respect for the generations who have served and sacrificed under it. It reminds us that the values it represents are not taken for granted.
Have a flag in need of retirement?
Drop it off at Legion Post 37 ahead of time, or bring it with you to the event.
