Get ready to make a difference raising funds for Beth's cancer treatment, and help bring her closer to the care she needs. So lace up your trainers, grab your water bottle and bring your best energy! 👟
📍 The walk will be starting from The Peninsula Hotel and will be heading along the coast to towards Portinfer car park, then back in land around Les Vardes Quarry and back to The Peninsula Hotel. The distance of the walk is around 6 kilometres, so perfect for all ages!
Beth’s Story:
Over the past six years, Beth Kitson Gouarin has shown a warrior’s spirit in the face of cancer. Just the kind of strength we all hope we’d have in such a fight. When she was first diagnosed at 27 years old, doctors gave her just 18 months. But Beth refused to let that prognosis define her journey. She chose hope, courage and determination and she’s been defying the odds ever since. She’s has also been a light for others walking this difficult road.
Alongside NHS treatment, Beth has been having treatment in Germany for years that isn't available on the NHS (e.g. immunotherapy), and this is likely why she has done so much better than predicted initially by her doctors. Unfortunately, a recent scan showed the cancer has grown again and now, she needs your help. There are promising therapies and treatments within reach, but she needs financial support to access them.
By doing this walk, you’re not only giving Beth a fighting chance, you’re becoming part of something greater. You’re helping pave a path that could bring hope to many others facing the same battle. Beth’s story can continue to be one of strength, survival, and inspiration, for her and for countless others.
