Rorate Caeli Mass

Join us on Saturday, December 6 at 6:30am for a Rorate Caeli Mass!

The Rorate Caeli Mass is an ancient Advent tradition in the Catholic Church. Often celebrated on a Saturday, it honors the Blessed Virgin Mary, she who waits with the Church in great expectation of the coming of her Son.

The name "Rorate Caeli" comes from the opening words of the Latin Entrance Chant for the Mass, which is also heard on the Fourth Sunday of Advent: "Drop down, dew from above, you heavens, and let the clouds rain down the Just One; let the earth be opened and bring forth a Savior."

Join us in the darkness of the early morning as the Church prays with expectation for the coming of Christ, the Light of the World.

Candles, incense, and Gregorian chant assist us in entering into a spirit of hope-filled expectation of the coming of our Savior. The entire Mass will be sung.

**Please note, the 8:00am Mass on Saturday will still take place as normal!**
