Anna Taft will share the journey that led to creation of The Tandana Foundation and lessons learned along the way that shaped its unique approach to supporting communities in achieving their goals. She will highlight main points from her new book, Climbing Together: Relational Morality and Meaningful Action in Intercultural Community Engagement, including how beginning with a first-person perspective leads to relationships based on mutual respect and responsibility and how prioritizing interaction and discussion over making a predetermined product brings about meaningful and durable positive change.
