Even though the river is starting to fill back up, it will still be too difficult to navigate when the sun goes down. For that reason, we will be moving this event to St Marys.
This event is Superhero themed so feel free to dress up as your favorite superhero or super villain. You can also decorate your kayak to match your costume and remember to light it up!
The event begins at 8:30pm at the new kayak launch in St. Marys. At 8:30pm, paddlers will be on the water and head north up the river and then turn around and come back. Spectators can view from anywhere along the river but will get the best view from the Grand Trunk Bridge. Paddlers and spectators are all encouraged to dress up and join in on our Superhero theme.
Since the event starts at 8:30pm, we ask that all paddlers arrive prior to allow themselves time to decorate and be on the water for 8:30.
The theme is just a suggestion but lights, lifejackets, and safety kits are a requirement. Additionally, we remind everyone to dress appropriately for the weather as well as bring things like bug spray to make the night as enjoyable as possible.
