Welcome!

This International Retreat will be held at Paramita Retreat Centre in Leclercville, Quebec, Canada. People from all over the world are welcome.

* We can arrange tranport for you from Quebec city or Montreal, just let us know.*

All of Buddha's teachings are for the practice of 2 qualities : calm-abiding (shamatha) and special insight (vipashyana). As a foundation, calm-abiding is most important. To know how to practice and attain calm-abiding, it is of utmost importance the receive the authentic instructions coming from the Buddha. Lama Samten, Buddhist monk born in Tibet and trained in Gajang Buddhist Monastic University for almost 20 years, will lead the retreat and give the instructions.

In this retreat, there will be 4 sessions / day including instructions and meditation practice. You will receive the whole instructions on how to achieve calm-abiding, such as :

- The source of this practice

- The preparations for meditation

- The conducive conditions for practice

- The 5 faults and the 8 remedies

- The 9 Stages of practice

- And more!

You will have also time to enjoy the scenery and environment, taking walks close to the river and exchange with other participants. All participants will have a private room (unless you want to share with a friend; please contact us in this case, there is a reduced price) and 3 vegetarian meals a day. Arrival is made on August 5th, at 7:00 PM, where you will receive the instructions and advices for the retreat. The last day (August 10th) will end after lunch, at 1:00 PM.

IMPORTANT: In case of cancellation one month before the event, we can refund the total amount (less 10$ transaction fee per person). If you need to cancel 3 weeks before, there will be a 50% refund. If you need to cancel after August 15th, there will be no refund, for any reason, we are sorry for that.
