What happens when the president’s daughter, Helen Spectacular, visits the world’s biggest robot production start-up?
A new companion. A hidden agenda. A marriage of convenience. A secret horticultural experiment. A love triangle. A revolt. And yes—an intense game of Twister.
For the full story, you’ll have to come and see it for yourself.
U-R-U is a feminist sci-fi dark comedy written by Canadian playwright Julia Lederer, inspired by Karel Čapek’s 1920s classic R.U.R., the play that gave birth to the word “robot”. Rebooted and updated to today’s technology and terminology, U-R-U unfolds in a near future where the line between humanity and hardware disappears, along with pen and paper. Hilarious, dystopic and chilling, U-R-U serves as both a love poem to humanity and a warning to its decreasing worth in an artificial future.
