Bottlenose Dolphin
Francesca Soster will present on the biology and ecology of the bottlenose dolphin, a charismatic species regularly found in Maltese waters. Her presentation will also address the challenges of conserving this highly mobile species, which faces numerous threats.
Francesca graduated in Oceanography from the University of Malta and is currently working on different research projects at both MCAST and the University of Malta. She specialises in habitat modelling and the use of citizen science data to assess the distribution and conservation needs of cetaceans in the Mediterranean Sea.
