💥 This is a FREE community training opportunity! We’re hoping to build something special, and if it goes well, we’d love to make it an annual tradition.
Get ready for an eerie (but fun!) evening of trail time, costumes, food, and community under the stars. This is not a race—just an unforgettable nighttime training event exploring the legendary River Bluff trails… including a creepy cruise past Felix’s Grave.

👻 Kids Storytelling, Hike & “Trail or Treat” Run – 7:00 PM
We’ll kick things off at the Chimneys with a short kids’ pre-hike storytelling session before heading out for a fun little hike through the trails. Afterward, stick around for s’mores and hot dogs by the fire!
🎒 Kids will receive:
• A candy bag
• A limited edition Halloween poker chip
• Glowsticks (we’ll have some, but feel free to bring your own!)
📍 Parking & Directions: You can park in the Huntoon Road parking lot and follow the short gravel all-weather trail down to the Chimneys. Signs will be posted.
🙌 Everyone is invited—even if you aren’t a runner or the kids don’t want to hike. It’s just a good chance to get outside and have fun with the community!
We’d also love volunteers to help on the course or dress up in costume to cheer the kids on. If you’d like to donate candy or fun items for the goodie bags, please send us a message!

🌕 5K (3.1 Miles) Night Group Trail Run led my Michael Reeves! – 8:00 PM
A spooky conversational-paced (~14 min/mile) 5K loop through the River Bluff trails and out into Sunbridge Hills, running past the infamous Liliger family cemetery where Felix’s Grave mysteriously disappeared.
🎁 Runners who complete the full 5K will get a limited edition Halloween poker chip!
🛑 Important Notes:
• Bring a headlamp or flashlight
• Costumes welcome (but optional)
• The 5K will start and end at the Chimneys—feel free to hang out after by the fire!
• This is not a race—just a fun, casual night of group trail training
• There may or may not be “Lurkers” along the route who may or may not scare the crap out of you 😱
