About the event

Annual Fishing Derby
Rockwood Park and Kiwanis Club of Saint John will host their Annual Fishing Derby on Sunday, June 8, 2025, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Fisher Lakes. This free event is open to the public with children’s prizes for largest catch in four different species awarded at 11:00 a.m.

The Community Block Party Trailer will be on site with activities and music to add to the fun, along with a free hot dog barbecue and treats.

Bring your fishing gear, bucket, bait, bug spray and folding chair for a fun morning at the Park!

No fishing license is required as part of Fish NB Days. Derby participants and the fishing public are reminded to fish responsibly all season long. Do not cut and discard lines and hooks into the lakes. This causes serious harm to park wildlife.
