The Twin Cities Flamenco Collective is a dynamic group of Flamenco artists dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich art of flamenco in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area. Through performances, education, and community outreach, the collective brings the passion, rhythm, and soul of flamenco to diverse audiences and participants. Pepele Méndez, a flamenco singer from Jerez de la Frontera, hails from the famous Méndez family and is the nephew of legendary La Paquera de Jerez. From a young age, he has performed internationally, blending traditional flamenco with jazz, funk, and reggae. He has toured the U.S. and Mexico, performing in top theaters and leading workshops on his rhythmic “soniquete jerezano” style. His work includes both performances and educational outreach. He performed at the Latin Grammy presentation on the U.S. West Coast with two-time Award winner Antonio Rey. He continues to share flamenco globally, with a free spirit and a voice rooted in Jerez.
