Two days of donkey training with the rescue donkeys at Heehaws near Eymet, Dordogne.
First day looking at donkey handling, approaching and headcollaring with both easy and not so easy donkeys. Leading, grooming, and foot care - all sounds so simple, but there are tips and tricks for making this an easy job for everyone even if your animal isn't so sure about the process. We will be doing donkey handling the TTouch way - no escalating pressure !
Learn about calming signals and how to better interpret what your donkey is saying to you.
Second day learning Tellington TTouch bodywork techniques to develop calm, confident donkeys with great body awareness and balance. We will look at donkeys that aren't so sure about being touched everywhere and may find visits from the vet or farrier difficult, learn tools to help them manage better.
This will be a great course for you if you are just starting out with donkeys or would like to learn Tellington TTouch to help your animals.
This course will run in English unless we have French speaking only participants, when it will be bilingual, it is a very practical course with a small group of participants. You can participate in one or both days.
