LeRoy Oakes Story Walk + Creek Play

Splish, Splash & Story Hike Fun!

Join us at LeRoy Oakes for a quick walk through the woods (the St Charles Public Library sets up a story you can read as you hike the path) and then we'll head down to the creek for some free play fun. Bring your water shoes, nets, and buckets, pack a lunch and and extra set of clothes (TRUST us!). Let's kick off the start of "summer break" at one of the best spots in town.

This event is FREE and open time-line (note some people will be arriving as early as 11 am if that timeline works, or the normal 1 pm is also fine).

To get to the path and creek drive ALL THE WAY to the back of the park, past the red barn and turn left and then park at the farthest lot, you'll see a paved path, take that across the bridge and into the woods to the Story Walk and the first DIRT PATH on the left will take you down to the creek in about a 1/2 mile. There is also a short cut to the creek directly from the parking lot (or back once you're done).
