Wine and Food Tasting with Massaya Lebanon

Discover the wines of the Bekaa Valley and Mount Lebanon with founder of Massaya Wines, Sami Ghosn.

The Bekaa Valley is a stunning, fertile region in Lebanon. Sami and Ramzi Ghosn returned to their family winery here in1990, after the civil war and began to rebuild the family business. First they focussed on Arak production - a traditional Lebanese grape spirit infused with aniseed, and then on quality wine production using indigenous and international varietals. The name Massaya comes from the Lebanese word for twighlight which captures the moment the sun sets behind Mount Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley becomes a beautiful dark blue colour.
Join us for an unforgetable evening of wine presented by Massaya founder and winemaker Sami Ghosn. We will be tasting six of his wines including white, red and rosé. We might finish with an optional small sip of Arak, if you're brave enough! The Lebanese Kitchen in St Albans will be catering for the event with their delicious traditional falafel, rice, chicken and salads.
