The club business meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by refreshments and social time from 7-7:30. We meet in the Saint Anthony Park Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall; enter off of Luther Place.
Our speaker, Heather Palmer, grew up in Duluth. Across the street lived a family who had a yard full of peonies. They had a history of cultivating peonies for generations.
She loved music and followed French composers. She graduated from Concordia College with majors in French, German, and Education. She traveled and worked in France during and after college. She taught for 24 years with Edina Public Schools as a French immersion teacher.
She planted her first peony garden in 2007. This garden included 28 herbaceous roots with mostly French origins and names. This was her summer salvation after her busy teaching year.
In 2023 her Great Peony Adventure began. She lived and worked in an 18th century chateau for a month in France. This garden housed over 3000 varieties of peonies.
Join us at the St Anthony Park Garden Club to learn more about Heather’s Great Peony Adventure. Visitors are welcome. We will also broadcast the meeting over Zoom. The zoom link will be emailed to members; for non-members, email

We have another year of great programs lined up. If you are interested in receiving the link before each meeting, please consider joining the club. Membership is just $20, and helps us cover honoraria for our speakers, the cost of Zoom and the equipment needed for our hybrid meetings, and the scholarship we award each year to a U of M horticulture student.
