Lead (formerly Self Love Beauty) will host their "Lead with STEM & Connection: Mother & Daughter Program." Girls ages 6 to 18 will enjoy a fun night of learning, talking, and doing—in a way that builds stronger bonds, improves communication, and strengthens relationships.
A huge thank you to SVSU and their STEM department for generously partnering with us to host this event. They’ll be leading a hands-on STEM activity and providing a delicious dinner, helping make this event even more special.
In STEM, having a high level of confidence, resilience, and self-esteem are critical to facing the tribulations of exploring the unknown and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Our Programs:
-Provide girls a supportive environment for experimentation and a toolkit of mental health resources to bounce back from setbacks and try again
-Nurture confidence, encouraging curiosity and resilience in conquering challenges, which research shows significantly impacts STEM career decisions.
-Foster self-sufficiency by empowering youth to initiate goals, overcome challenges, and make independent decisions through confidence-building activities.
It is critical that we empower our girls to have the strength to trust in themselves and their ability to achieve.
