WHAT IS FOREST SCHOOL?
The Forest School ethos is about child-led learning in a supportive and outdoors environment, we promote connection with nature and a holistic approach to child learning and development, we look forward to sharing our woodlands with you and your children!
Forest School is a child-centred inspirational learning process, that offers opportunities for holistic growth through regular sessions. Our sessions are child-led and therefore our leaders with give you the space to access the sessions in the way that suits you, but there is always someone available for support should you need it.
It is a long-term program that supports play, exploration and supported risk taking. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in a natural setting. Our sessions follow the Forest School Association’s 6 principles which you can read more about here
