UPDATES to our 2025 BDR Leftover 5K:
Due to damage during Hurricane season last year, the town of Safety Harbor has cancelled all remaining events for 2025 to complete the rebuilding construction process in the Marina. We can’t wait to see the changes and the area back to it’s beautiful & budding environment.
🙌🏼 But the GOOD NEWS!! The race is still on! We're going to run it back at Coachman Park in Clearwater on Sunday, September 21st at 7:00am. Some of you already know the course from Freakin' Hot 5K!
With this change, we've got a few options for you!
1. Stick with us and have a great time at Coachman Park
2. Email us and simply say DEFER or REFUND - with that, we will defer your registration to 2026 Leftover 5K or we will give you a full refund -

We know this isn’t ideal, but we appreciate your flexibility! But we're going to have a great time in Clearwater and can’t wait to be back in Safety Harbor for 2026!
But back to LO5K - Over the last twelve years and 30+ races later we have accumulated lots of leftover medals, shirts, awards, and more. We wanted to do something creative with all the extra swag, so why not have a “leftover run”? Participants will take their pick of up 10+ different race shirts, 25+ different race medals, and then enjoy a great post-race party with food and libations!
Post-Race Party will include:
= Pre-Packaged Food
= Age group awards will be available for pickup on-site once the results are final
= Picking out TWO Leftover Medals
The course will include:
= Two (2) - aid stations with water
= Plenty of open roads!
