August's Preservation Roundtable takes place on Saturday, August 16, at Signa Rare Plants. Signa is a plant shop at the corner of 11th & T Street in the Southside Park historic district, in a corner store that is at least a century old--they also host a wide variety of entertainment and community events, and we are very grateful that they have opened their doors for the Preservation Roundtable. Register using the link above; while we request a $5 voluntary donation to offset the cost of coffee and snacks, and you can also register at no cost. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
Refreshments by Bueno Cafe and Lam Kwong Deli.
Agenda will include:
Richmond Grove Historic District--Revised Historic Context
12 African American Experience Landmarks & New Helvetia Historic District
Where Are Sacramento's Most Endangered Places?
Old City Cemetery Committee: Upcoming Tours and Events
Building a More Relevant Preservation Movement
More updates to come!
At noon, members and visitors will depart from Signa for a one-hour walking tour of the proposed Richmond Grove historic district, returning no later than 1 PM.
