Renaissance Society Fall 2025 Orientation and Open House

Who is the Renaissance Society?

The Renaissance Society of Sacramento provides opportunities for participatory lifelong learning and community engagement for adults. Our learning opportunities include seminars and other programs on widely varied subjects proposed and presented by our members. We have a wide variety of programs, five days a week. For the Spring 2025 semester, programs on Zoom will be offered Monday-Thursday. Other programs will be on the Sac State campus on Fridays; some will be in-person only, while others will be a combination of in-person and Zoom.

Interested to learn more? You are invited to attend this FREE event. Please note: If you are not a Renaissance Society member with a parking pass, please obtain a two-hour or daily parking pass from the UTAPS office near the Welcome Center. Parking Structure II which is closest to the campus bookstore, is the nearest parking for this event.

Orientation: 10 - 11:15 am; Held in the University Student Union Ballroom III. Learn WHY you should join this dynamic organization. You will hear about the lifelong learning opportunities Renaissance Society will offer during the semester. Subjects range from Art to Economics and Music to History.

Open House 11:15 - 12:30 in Ballroom I & II in The University Student Union. Open House with refreshments. Enjoy a chance to socialize, meet new people, and visit tables hosted by our Sac State partners, our various committee chairs, and numerous community partners. Volunteer opportunities include: mentoring Sac State Gerontoloty students, ushering campus theater and dance programs, and participating in Physical Therapy Department events. The Open House is a time to visit these partners to see if it is a match for you.

A campus tour will be offered at 11:15 in the Lobby.

There will be time for socializing! Please call a friend and make a date to bring them to the Fall 2025 Orientation and Open House in the University Union.
