Come out and Meet miss Puddin-Pop this
Sunday, September 21st, from Noon - 3pm!
As many of you know, our sweet girl was dumped at a construction site when she was just a few weeks old. Fast forward to when the good Sam who took her home couldn't potty train her; he reached out to us for help. We welcomed her into our organization with open arms (thinking...she's a healthy pup. Even though we are full and struggling financially, we DO have foster space and she appears healthy otherwise...we can train her and adopt her our quickly!) Me to myself🤣. Well...the jokes on me.....
Turns out she kept having accidents bc she has a rare medical condition she was born with: Bilateral Ectopic Ureter. This is where her urethra does not attach to her bladder where it is supposed to: resulting in constant leakage and urinary infection. Eventually resulting in kidney faulure.... so this condition is very much life or possibly a life cut short from organ failure💔
Seems simple enough, right? Wrong.
Nobody performs "Bilateral Ectopic Ureter Oblation" anymore, apparently.
There are only two hospitals we found who perform this surgery: Bay area & LA.
The surgery totals $6,000-$12,000. THAT'S the estimate range.
Apparently, they are not even 100% certain she will need surgical intervention on BOTH sides. They won't know until they perform endoscopic scans AT the time of surgery 🤔
Oh, and we can't schedule the operation until we have half of the total estimate: $6k. We have to raise the full 12k ASAP so we can schedule her operation😪. This is not a surgery they perform often and even fewer vets who will do it.
We need all the help we can get! Come out tomorrow and meet Puddin AND take a spin on our prize wheel.
Every spin WINS! Grab a Halloween Goodie for your pooch AND help us reach our goal!🙏🏽🥺
