Magic In The Other creates melodic, anthemic music that is as relatable as it is danceable, blending heartfelt songwriting with razor-sharp musicianship. Led by drummer, lead vocalist, and songwriter Ezra Lipp (ALO, Phil Lesh & Friends), this Sacramento-based trio features the fiery guitar work of Dellow and the dynamic bass grooves of Alex Reiff. Their unique sound—dubbed “avant-rock”—mixes soaring jazz lines, African-inspired rhythms, soul sensibilities, and the raw energy of rock and roll. Steeped in improvisation but grounded by stellar songs and achingly truthful lyrics, MITO invites listeners on a cerebral, heart-opening journey that is utterly their own.
