Midtown/Downtown Murals Trot and Spirits Hunt with Phil Ho

This FREE program is sponsored by The Renaissance Society of Sac State and is open to the community, but you MUST register to get a free ticket.

Join us as we venture into Midtown and Downtown to see the many murals and embark on a treasure hunt. We will depart from the restaurant promptly at 9:00 AM. We will walk to the waterfront and enjoy the many murals located along the way. We head into Old Town where the fun and intrigue begins.

Couple years ago, an artist was commissioned to create objects of art to be installed Downtown to attract more visitors. The result was 7 winged spirits installed along the K Street corridor, but their locations were not disclosed. Many people, some of them formed groups, to locate these 7 winged spirits; but not everyone succeeded in finding them. From Old Town, we will march down K St. to hunt down all the winged spirits. We will also stop at the Capitol and smell the roses in the rose garden. Approximate distance-4 miles.

Optional no-host lunch follows walking tour.

Parking: Parking: Fee lot across the street or another option is to take the Light Rail and disembark in front of the restaurant.

This is an in-person event, no Zoom or recording will be available.
