Join us for to hear essayist and poet José Vadi read from his book, "Chipped: Writing from a Skateboarder's Lens" at Amatoria Fine Art Books in Sacramento.
José Vadi will first sit down in front of the audience for a live interview with Nick Brunner, the co-host of the podcast "Creativity in the Capital." Then he will read from his book "Chipped," which we will capture as part of our Hangout Gigs video series.
José is an award-winning essayist, poet, playwright and film producer. In addition to "Chipped," he is the author of Inter State: Essays from California. He also wrote a short fiction story for "Sacramento Noir" for "Sacramento Noir," an anthology featuring 13 short stories written by local authors and published in early 2025.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m.
