This FREE program is sponsored by The Renaissance Society of Sac State and is open to the community, but you MUST register to get a free ticket! This program will be on the Sac State campus in Mendocino Hall, Room 1003. Eventbrite registration is required for in-person participation. Presented by Scott Tyler, President/CEO of Broadway Sacramento. From its humble origins in a canvas tent pitched at 15th & H Streets to becoming the West Coast's largest non-profit musical theatre company, Broadway Sacramento has been serving Northern California audiences since 1951. This seminar will provide insight into its founding, its history and its evolution into a year-round producing and presenting organization. The presentation will articulate the difference between its two annual seasons of presentations (Broadway At Music Circus and Broadway On Tour), the preparations that go into each offering, and the role Broadway Sacramento plays in the national theatrical community.
