𝓦𝓮 𝔀𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓵𝔂 𝔀𝓮𝓵𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓮 𝔂𝓸𝓾,
to two precious evenings of conversation, listening, and learning on the theme of Traditional Indigenous Midwifery — a unique opportunity to sit with ancestral wisdom around birth, menstruation, pregnancy, and the sacred care of the female body.
Guiding us are two midwives from the Shawandawa Arara people of the Brazilian Amazon:
Dona Francisquinha Vawakuru Shawandawa, traditional midwife and healer, and her daughter Andreia Yawtãmã Dy Shawandawa, who has walked in her mother’s footsteps since a young age. Together they carry a living lineage of oral, practical, and spiritual knowledge passed down through generations of women.
These two evenings are not structured as lectures, but as living conversations that flow with the presence of those who gather.
There will be plenty of space for questions, shared stories, and reflections — so feel free to come with your wonderings and your heart.
Practical Details
ఇ Dates: Thursday & Friday, August 14 & 15
ఇ Time: Both evenings, we begin in the circle at 17:00 and close around 20:30
ఇ You are welcome from 16:00 to arrive gently, enjoy a cup of tea and land in the space
ఇ Lighter dinner will be available between 16:00–16:50 for a small additional cost
📍 Location: Ateljé Light Hub, right by Kulturhuset in Järna
You are welcome to join for one or both evenings, as you feel called. Each gathering will be complete in itself, but attending both offers a deeper immersion and study.
Exchange
Sliding scale: 35€–90€ SEK per evening, according to your financial means and what feels generous from your heart.
All contributions except covering the costs for the event goes directly to support their projects and mission. They are now building up a natural birth house in Brazil for sharing sacred knowledge and recieving women there.

🌿 Private healing sessions
During the daytime on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, there will be an opportunity to book a private healing session with Dona Francisquinha. These sessions draw from her traditional spiritual healing practices and you are welcome to ask for support around themes connected to birth, fertility but could also be other things.
Spots are limited — please reach out in advance if you are interested. For this, there will be an additional cost.
🌸 Herbal bath circle
On Friday at 13:00, Dona Francisquinha and Andreia would also love to share a traditional herbal bath circle, a practice rooted in deep spiritual cleansing, prayer, and plant connection.
For this to happen, we need a group — so if you feel called to join, please let us know and we’ll see if the circle can come together. For this, there will be an additional cost.
