Get ready for an unforgettable summer art adventure! This hands-on workshop series is designed for young artists (12+) to explore a variety of exciting art forms, develop new skills, and create unique projects. Over four immersive days, students will dive into:
Stained Glass with Maggie Fatuzzo– Learn to cut glass, solder, and assemble your own hanging air plant holder (approx. 5x7"). Air plants provided!
Pyrography (Wood Burning) with Corinne Mullen– Use a beginner wood-burning pen to etch designs into wood slices, then enhance them with watercolor. Finished pieces can be turned into ornaments, keychains, or wall hangings.
Linocut Printing with Addie Harris– Create an original design, carve it into a linoleum block, and print multiple copies while learning the fundamentals of printmaking, composition, and balance.
Oil Painting with Pat Hitchcock– Start with a still life sketch and bring it to life with oil paints, learning brush techniques, shading, and blending along the way.
Poetry & Mixed Media with Addie Harris– Combine visual art and writing by crafting a memory-inspired collage. Using acrylics, found objects, textiles, and magazine clippings, students will illustrate their own poetry.
Colored Pencil Painting with Tina Phelps– Master blending, color theory, and depth of field while creating a unique colored pencil drawing—perfect for a personal portfolio!
Infinity Games & Art Show – Create your own character and embark on a dungeon-crawling adventure with a Dungeon Master from Infinity Games! Meanwhile, parents and friends are invited to an art show showcasing the students’ creations before they take their treasures home.
Safety Notice: Due to the nature of materials used (glass cutting, hot tools, carving tools, etc.), this program is strictly for ages 12+. Any child who is unable to follow safety guidelines or does not meet the age requirement will be sent home without a refund.
