Kans for Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting children who are living with cancer. Established in 1994, Kans for Kids Fighting Cancer Foundation has provided emotional support and thousands of dollars in financial assistance to 46 families living with childhood cancer.
Kans for Kids has helped the following children: Layd’n Hinderliter, 15, Chase, has relapsed and is currently in treatment again. He was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma and was treated at Children’s Mercy in Wichita. Sophia Swanson is 15 years old and from Great Bend. She was diagnosed with T-Cell Leukemia and is currently being treated at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City. Katrina Wood, from Great Bend is 17 and was diagnosed with Melanoma in August of 2022. Kambree Johnson is 10 years old and was diagnosed with Hypopigmented Mycosis Fungoides, a form of T-cell Lymphoma, in February of 2023. Kambree is from Ellinwood and being treated at Childrens Mercy in Kansas City. Sami Couch is 18 and from Ellsworth. She was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in August of 2023. She is being treated at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City. Our love, support and prayers go out to our families.
On Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, we are holding the 2nd annual benefit sporting clay shoot. LaSada Lodge is hosting the event at 3721 183rd St, Russell, KS 67665. We would like to have you be a part of it by joining the shoot, being a station sponsor or purchasing a raffle ticket. The event will start at 9am. Entry fee is $100 per shooter for 100 clays.
If you are interested in being a station sponsor, the fee is $100. Your business or personal name will be posted around the course during the tournament.
