Rails & Ales Train Rides

All Aboard for Rails & Ales! Enjoy complimentary tastings from more than a dozen local craft breweries on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Ride the train to visit all of the tasting stations! Train rides depart every 30 minutes so you can ride ride between the two tasting stations as often as you like! Discover great craft beverages in all styles, from mild to wild. Ticket purchase includes museum admission and free souvenir tasting glass. Refreshments available for purchase. Free soft drinks for Designated Drivers.

Your adventure starts just 20 minutes from downtown Rochester when you check in with the friendly ticket agent to pick up your tickets. Enjoy fun vintage train rides that depart every half hour from our historic 1909 Erie Railroad train station. During your visit, you will enjoy train rides that tour our bucolic museum grounds as you visit New York’s largest collection of historic trains. Take a peek behind the scenes in our Restoration Shop, and connect with Rochester’s rich railroad heritage. Refreshments available for purchase.
