Do you ever feel like your playful, creative self is buried beneath the to-do lists, responsibilities, and seriousness of day to day life? Maybe it feels like there's no time for play, rest, or fun, in a life that is full of adult stresses and other important priorities. Or perhaps you'd love to drop all of that, but you just don't know how to anymore.
You so deserve the time and space to rest, play, and create. Those moments of rest and play are exactly what will allow you to keep going, without burning out. That's why myself and fellow Creative Arts Therapist Becca Bradley have created this space: for the busy, stressed out grownups who need to remember and re-experience the healing power of play!
This gentle, joy-filled workshop is your opportunity to reconnect with your inner child, the wonderful part of you that knows exactly how to play, giggle, imagine, and rest (without guilt!)
What to expect:
Together, we’ll begin with a guided check-in and a beautiful visualisation to meet or reconnect with your playful inner child. We’ll then move into group activities designed to help your adult self soften and step back, making space for silliness, freedom, and expression. Expect laughter, lightness, and a sense of connection as we begin to drop the adult masks, and let our inner child out to play!
Then there will be a chance for some free play- a space for your inner child to explore and choose what they need most. There will be lots of options to choose from, and you can do as much or as little as you like! You might sculpt with playdough, build sand worlds, get messy with paint and crafts, curl up in a cosy corner to rest, or break a few rules at the “rule-breaking” station!
We’ll end with story time, a soothing drink and snack, and space to gently share and reflect, before heading back into the world with a little more joy in your step.
